I used to global average 6 before switching to L4E. After switching to L4E and a lot of practice, I average 3 but I know that I could average 2 if I just learn to make things more efficient. I would say the best tip is to not give up on learning L4E. L4E seems easy but it takes probably 1-2...

For Sub-10 minutes, I kinda just recommend just learning Old Pochmann for both corners and edges and then just drilling it. If you do it enough BLD solves enough times, you should get sub-10 minutes. There isn't much that you could do except that.
