I read the alg off a paper and do that about 50 times. Then, when I don't look at the paper, my hands remember the rest. :)

I wouldn't, it may damage it, though I'm not positive on that. Unless you're looking for a super-loose cube, you just need to lube the edge and corner pieces, not the core.

Here is the basic idea: You get the entire first layer except one corner. Then, USING THAT OPEN SPACE, you insert the 2nd layer edges. You twist the the first layer side you did to move that open corner around to open 2nd layer spots, and insert the 2nd layer edges with simple 3-move...

At the time I lubed my cube, I jumped from 1:45 in time to about 1:30. It really helped after I broke it in for an hour (It was a little sticky at first) Silicone spray worked great though. :) Graphite powder does as well, but that only lasts for a few hours.

It isn't too hard, I found it out on my own in about 15 minutes. All you need is R U R' and F' U' F, as said before.
