As some of you may know, I lubed my cube before. I thought it worked well, until other kids at my school lubed their cubes too...

It was amazing! They were all so good! And yet my, though smooth, was very sticky and locked up often. I don't know what I did wrong. One kid suggested that I didn't shake my silicone up for a minute. Another thinks my silicone is too old. (Borrowed it from my Grandmother)

I "unlubed" my cube by taking the pieces and sanding them. This worked really well, actually. However, I want to re-lube it. What exactly should I do differently? Should I lube the core? I never did that before. Also, should I lube the pieces seperately, (I layed them in a line and then sprayed) or should I just pop out an edge piece and spray in there?

I've lubed two of my cubes and for one of them I took it apart spayed, then let it dry, then flipped the pieces sprayed again and let it dry for another ten minutes, and did that once more; it was almost too loose, but the stickers started peeling so I'm never again doing it that way. For my other cube I just popped an edge out and sprayed inside, it wasn't as loose as the other but for me it was perfect, and the stickers are fine.

If you want to take the whole cube apart and spray the pieces you can try this link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0rjg7ckq-0 but I don't recommend doing it that way at all though.

I would try shaking it more.

I lubed one of my cubes by popping a piece off and spraying silicone and it worked great. Another cube bound up on me and now I have to sand it to get it back to the way it was before. I guess it depends on the cube

do a quick spray and then mix up the cube and work in the silicon. solve it a couple times and see how you like it. if its not smooth enough, do another quick spray and mix it up some more. keep doing that till you get it to how you like it.
