Here is a creation that I conceived about 10 years ago and for which I created many prototypes. I only succeeded in realising it recently after tempting my great friend Mike Dobson (co-designer of CubeStormers II and 3) to work on the project with me for the last two years. Enjoy! :-)

I was inspired by a few people's comments to modify the MindCuber software to be able to "solve" to patterns instead of the normal solved position... Oh - and I borrowed a few NXTs and motors from some of my other robots! ;) Enjoy!

I am no speedcuber, and am in total awe of all of you who are... However, many people who have seen my LEGO Rubik's Cube solving robots have asked me about my cube-solving abilities. So I finally thought I'd make a video for fun!

Mike and I are thrilled that CubeStormer II set a Guinness World Record for the fastest robot solving a Rubik's Cube this morning in the presence of the editor-in-chief of Guinness World Records in Wired.co.uk's offices in London ;-) Here is the full article at Wired.co.uk
