[Member Intro] Thought I would re-introduce myself! Nice to meet everyone!

What’s up everyone! My name is Emilia but you can just call me Emma. I’m 16 years old and I’m an avid speedcuber although I’m not that great. I started in 2018. I don’t really know what started it. I’m autistic and cubing is my special interest. I’m sub 35. I average about 22-31 seconds...

Do you guys know how to solve the L2E on professor pyraminx?

Here’s how it’s looking. I always get this case when solving the inner edges. Just now learning this puzzle. Sub 1:10 on master pyra so trying to learn professor. Do you guys have a good algorithm for this? Thanks

Is there a tool I can use to see how fast I am at each step so I know where my slowest point is?

Basically the title. I want to see so I know what to improve.

Any good 3x3s for OH for someone with tiny hands?

I’m a 16 year old female. I’m pretty small for my age at only 5’2 and 110 pounds. My hands are both just 5 inches long from wrist to tip of middle finger. I use a 54 mm cube for OH but I feel like it’s still too big. Any good cubes for someone in my situation?

    I did it!!! I got a sub 20!

New PB! After 5 consistent years of cubing I did it! 19.94 and not even a PLL skip. Just a second look OLL skip. (I use 3LLL, 1 look PLL and 2 look OLL)

Do yall know of any good intermediate skewb methods?

I’m still barely in that 12-20 sec range for solving skewb. I don’t know how to fingertrick a skewb and I use a beginner method (Z3Cubing’s Method) do you guys know of any good intermediate method? I’m learning Sarah’s method. Can yall let me know of it’s a good method for speedsolving skewb?

All these little 5-12 year old kids solving the cube in under 20 seconds makes me feel discouraged.

Seriously?! 5 and already sub 20? I’ve been cubing CONSISTENTLY for as long as this kid’s been alive! I feel really discouraged. I waited FIVE YEARS just to get nowhere. A few of my latest averages: 2x2: 7.63 3x3: 30.84 4x4: 1:58.82 5x5: 4:01.97 Pyraminx: 9.84 What am I doing wrong? FIVE YEARS...

I suck at memorizing algorithms. I have been cubing for 5 years but I'm still only sub 30 (I use 4LLL CFOP). I'm trying to learn full PLL.

I only started learning CFOP 2 years ago, 3 years into cubing because I was just then sub 1 minute on 3x3. I'm slow at improving and I'm always at a standstill. I've been trying to get sub-20. My PB is 22. I'm trying to learn full PLL right now. I suck at memorizing algorithms. I see people...

    How tall are you, cubers?

I want to see how tall the cubing community is. I'm 5'2 (157 cm) and I find it hard to fit my 5 inch hands around certain puzzles. I know tall people generally have less problems so I want to see how tall cubers generally are.

edit: Doesn't stop there! Got my first sub 5 on 2x2 of the day (6.37 mo3)

    Meilong 11x11 and 12x12 review!

I was lucky enough to save up to buy the Meilong 11x11 and 12x12. They are both about $100 USD. Here’s what I like: Smooth turning for such massive cubes. I’m a pretty petite teenage girl, standing at just 5’2, and along with that I have small hands (5 inches from wrist to tip of middle...

Need help getting faster at 4x4 and above

    My 3x3 ao5 is now 30 seconds. I average 2:15 on 4x4, 3:45 on 5x5, 7:30 on 6x6, and about 12-13 minutes on 7x7. How do I get faster? I use Yau for 4 and 5 and for 6 and 7 I use redux

Feeling like I slowed down in terms of cubing after I passed out

On Saturday I had a band competition and then a football game right after (I am in high school.) I am in the school’s color guard so when I was tossing a flag at practice last week I had a severe nosebleed and broke my nose. I have been feeling like **** ever since. I have become a lot loopier...

Does me being colorblind affect how fast solve the cube?

I have been cubing for 4 years. I average about 35-40 sec on 3x3. I am red-green colorblind and I recognize the colors by looking at the surrounding colors. Does this affect my speed at all since I am very slow at solving even after 4 years?

    Emma Thomas’s Progression Thread

Hi guys! I’m Emma. I’m 15. I’m the elusive female cuber (seriously there’s not a lot!) I have been cubing since 2018. I’m here to post my progression. I will post some of my solves each day. I know I am broke. Here are my mains, averages, and methods: 2x2: QiYi MS, Ortega, 10 ish sec 3x3: Gan R...
