Scratch is more addicting.

Nah, Java is way more. Once you get going its way easier to expand cause OOP, which makes you spend way too long adding stuff. Edit: Ohh sarcasm dangit

Yeah, scratch is boring. The only good thing is you can find a ton of cool games on it.

I used to be decent at scratch. Made this for an assignment a while back:

I like computer science, although we don’t have a DT class at school right now so IT is taking over that :/

My longest single file was a GUI game, it was a ping pong game, but in Java, even a ping pong game has thousands of lines.
Etotheipi
Etotheipi
Huh, I dont think it would take that many lines for just pong, my 2D MC game as of now is like 1500 lines ish (for over 30 files), probably less, and its much more complicated than pong. Did it have any extra advanced features?

Of course I added a bunch of features. maybe that caused the game to have so many lines?
Etotheipi
Etotheipi
But why in a single file lol. Also, what kind of features?

I'm a noob, I didn't add other classes, although I could have added other classes and request those file in the main file using a method lol, Like scores, sounds etc.

Etotheipi
fun. splitting into separate classes is very nice, I have like 30 and for one, using OOP makes things way easier, and for two, it cleans up code a ton.

Yeah, I'll try it in my future programs.
