Yeah, IKR. it's a GUI or a console-based game? I've made tons of console-based but only one GUI with Java Swing.

Wdym console? Its just a 2D game, all graphics are with Graphics2D, didn't use Swing for UI really, just getting stuff on the screen.

Yeah, I made my own GUI system for my game and it was a pain. But new GUIs are easier now
