The pages of a book are numbered from start to finish, labelled normally, starting 1,2,3,4 and so on. In total, it takes 852 digits to number all the pages of the book. How many pages are there?
Question from a UKMT Maths Challenge.
its volume, not area. I would use a matrix to turn it into a sphere, find the spheres volume, then use the determinant of the inverse matrix to find the original ellipsoids volume.
If I've done 10,000 3x3 solves, and I average 10.192845092 TPS and my highest TPS solve is 30.1726593471 and my lowest TPS solve is 1.01959861, then what is my average for the other solves?

1+1
I've been having lots of trouble with this.
I've been retaking Kindergarten math for years, and I never pass because of this one question.
1+1, hmmmm. Lets see. Adding a number to itself is the same as multiplying it by 2, so we can rewrite it as 1x2=n, instead of 1+1=n. Since multiplying a number by one does nothing, this must then equal 2, because we can just throw away the 1. So, 1+1=2.

Side note : Canada actually has a really bad math program. They force you to draw squares to add up. In Grade 8. They're like :
OK, so one red square equals -1, and one yellow square equals 1. You cancel out all the red and yellow squares, then you have your answer !
