ok tripod is where you do F2L-1, make a 2x2x1 block in LL, finish F2L then do LL. I think there are 105 cases (including mirrors and stuff) and there have been some slow algs for a lot of time. I found some good ones. I haven't generated them all yet but there are some of them. tell me if you know of any better ones. I know about half of them atm.

the algs are here.

How can i force a 2x2x1 block while inserting last f2l pair? Is that too hard?

most of the time its not really worth it but if you notice you can make one easily then thats a good thing because 1LLL

lets try a random scramble

R2 U' B2 R2 D2 U' F2 D R2 D B2 F L B' R' U2 L2 D F2 U F2

x' R D r' F' U2 L2 R U' R' D' //xcross
U L' U L U' L' U' L //F2L2
y U R' U R U' R U R' //F2L3
y U2 R U2 B U' B' //block
U' R' U R U' R' //F2L4
R U2 R2 U2 y R' F' R U2 r U r' U //LL

yes that was a good block and the last slot was easy too

Interesting idea. Is it always possible to solve the last pair efficiently when you have the 2x2 block on top?

No, it can be quite ugly at times. One cool thing about TLL is that it's not really 105 algs; if you have the edges solved you use mostly comms and if they are both flipped and swapped you can conjugate into a case with swapped but not flipped edges.

It would be great to see cases broken out for both the block and the last pair. I'm guessing there are typical patterns that come up repeatedly and it would be nice to see them documented - is this on a website or wiki anywhere?

Is this why the whole set itself is very good? I've only been using these for the ZBLLs and I find that these are some of the best cases that exist.
