I'm wondering which of the two cubes should I get. I've heard great things about both the cubes but my budget allows me to get only one.
EDIT: To anyone else who decides to vote, include Weilong v1 with the first option since they are almost the same and I have no idea how to change the poll (probably can't).

To be honest I prefer the MoYu WeiLong v1. In reality it isn't that different from the V2 except that it has a two piece corner design instead of three. But I'll stick to the two you've selected. The WeiLong V2 is a pretty good cube. It's fast, smooth, and it will never pop. Mine locks-up a little because the corners catch on the other pieces but that can fixed with either some sanding or just breaking it in. The AoLong is also a pretty good cube but it feels very different than the WeiLong. I have three AoLongs and I can tell you they all feel different. The one I got from the cubicle was very bubbly and fast. It felt a bit oily with a slight scratchy feeling similar to that of the FangShi ShuangRen. The one I got from HKNowStore felt different. I think this is because it came as a DIY kit instead of being assembled like the one I got from the Cubicle. The HKNowStore AoLong felt very, very dry and scratchy. It's also very fast and not as smooth as the WeiLong. So it really depends on your preference. They are both very fast cubes, in fact a lot of people say they are uncontrollable for people who average above 15 seconds. If you like really smooth, fast cubes with no clicky or crunchy feeling, get the WeiLong. If you prefer a slightly scratchy or matted yet still smooth feeling, then get the AoLong.

Good thread. I was deciding the same thing and for the same reason. I do like smooth cubes. I believe my Zhanchi is pretty smooth, but I also like my wittwo v1 which I think is pretty scratchy. I might get both and not get a stack mat timer. Only time will tell.

cmon it's not really gonna make a difference is it. flip a coin or something.

I pretty much have to agree with this. It isn't going to make really any difference. You could very easily HATE both. Maybe a Maru CX3 or Fangshi is a better feel for you; or a Huanying or something.

Youtube has 1000s of great reviews, there are review threads on every 3x3x3 that can be read by using the search button on the speedsolving page. And finally if you go to websites like thecubicle.us, all their product has many reviews from customers.

I recommend watching a youtube review(good channels are JR Cuber, Paradox cubing, convinsa) on every puzzle then checking out the review thread of that puzzle on speedsolving.com and take the time to read what people have to say. You will get better information than making a thread to ask.

I've tried that, still can't make up my mind.

Mine just came in. :D The Aolong feels a lot like the Weilong v2, but the corner cutting is just a tiny bit better. Other than that I they don't feel all that different so far.

I can't tell the difference between them. If I was blindfolded the only thing that would give it away would be the slightly better corner cutting and the unbroken in feeling on the Aolong.

I was just about the order the Weilong v1 when I saw Feliks Zemdegs' review of the Aolong and now, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! :(

haha. all the logos got switched to the new current on you see on the V2. that old logo is just an old stock photo. my V1 has the new logo. not that it matters tho
I like your signature :)

Since there seems to be more votes for the Aolong, would anyone mind telling me why it is better than the Weilong v1/v2 (or vice-versa)?
