[WR] Marcin Zalewski 3BLD 23.68

I dislike the polish reactions on WRs, especially at BLD. This kind of reactions disturb other competitors. And this time you can't say noone else did solve and he was the last one..

I agree with you. Thats not okay that way.

nice solve, but the reaction is totally disrespectful. that dude in the background might have been on his way to a PB and then every one starts being loud and annoying. if you really want to applaud that badly, clap like a deaf person (it doesnt cause disruptive noise).

It would be very distracting, but personally, if I was the slower BLD solver, I wouldn't mind if it was a world record. Seriously, someone next to you just got a WR and you'd get pissed off at cheering? If you avergae 3 minutes, BLD probably isn't one of your main events anyway, and if it is, you get two other attempts.

Congratulations for the awesome result.

it is. it distracts me even in 3x3 and all the sighted events. i can only imagine what it would be like if i was doing bld.
If this happened to you or anyone, the proper procedure would be to follow the regulations, namely 11e):

WCA Regulations said:
11a) Incidents include:

11a1) Incorrect execution of event procedures, by officials or competitors.
11a2) Interference or facility interruptions (e.g. power failure, emergency alarm activation).
11a3) Equipment malfunction.
11b) If an incident occurs, the WCA Delegate determines an impartial and appropriate course of action.
11d) If the WCA Regulations are not fully clear or if the incident is not covered by the WCA Regulations, then the WCA Delegate must make his decision based on fair sportsmanship.
11e) If an incident occurs during an attempt, the WCA Delegate may award a competitor an extra attempt, replacing the attempt during which the incident occurred. The competitor must appeal verbally or in writing to the judge and WCA Delegate at the time of the incident, before finishing the original attempt, to be eligible for an extra attempt. An appeal does not guarantee the competitor an extra attempt.

Congrats on the WR.

imo the reaction is still not one to expect at a bld-event. even if you are an average-bld-cuber, this scramble (it is a wr scramble, so it could be easier to memo or solve) could bring you a new pb and the extra scramble may not be able to provide this.
