I'm looking for a simple to use (like WMM simple) video editor as I am going to put PLL and OLL vids on my youtube. since my camera has no sound I though " why not put in some music" so ta-da. I tryed with WMM but whenever I go "save movie file..." so I can get it on youtube, it just freezes. I have to end now the program on whenever, where ever I am on the computer, there's a frozen, half transparet save move file... where it would be if I had WMM open and am hovering over it. I just restart to get it away.
WHERE IS A FREE EASY TO USE EDITOR OR HOW CAN I FIX WMM!

holy s***.... I just went into options and now I have that little part in the screen frozen as "options..." D:

Well, that stinks.

The big problem I have with my WMM is that I have to save after every single thing I add to my project, or else it will freeze at a random time. Also, it automatically exits out when I have too many things added to my timeline, no warnings whatsoever.

I think VirtualDub can insert audio into video... also didnt YouTube now start giving option to put in audio to videos? And they have a giant list of songs you can put in? Not sure

Yes those are both correct. They don't have a lot of songs though (all the other ones are copyrighted :()

iMovie? That is by far the easiest editor out there. However I'm assuming you have Windows, so in that case just stick with WMM unless you want to spend some money.

My problem with WMM is that when I try to import a video, it only imports the sound and not the video. :/

Windows Movie Maker is just a basic video editor (just like notepad, worpad, calc and paint are really basic programs). If Microsoft would supply a better video editor there would be thousands of complaints about "monopoly abuse". (Apple is still getting away with bundling OS and Applications and even hardware for now) WMM only understands a small amount of codecs and containers. Importing DivX would probably not work, just like playing DivX files with Windows Media Player only gives soundplayback.

There have been updates and even free downloadable versions that fix many problems, but codec-support still remains bad. I personally use WMM that is included in Vista and it works really well for my limited needs. http://desktopvideo.about.com/od/editingsoftware/a/freevidedit.htm has a list of other interesting programs.
