So ogt #50, 22.70 average slow turning. I did this slow turning because I didn't want my parents to hear me cubing.
Could be easily sub-20 going full speed. I even got a 16 for the 4th scramble. Who else found that to be ridiculously easy?
I'm going to try again and get sub-10.

I emailed Jon Saturday night to remind him to put up the scrambles. He said he merely forgot!
He had them up before Sunday. Now of course, the next scrambles are not yet up. I think he said he does that after Wednesday or so.

But just imagine how long it REALLY took to do all the solves... 1058.05 seconds is over 17 and a half minutes...

EDIT: And scrambles for next weekend are ALREADY OUT?!?!?!?! Heh, that must be to compensate for this week's low turnout.

He probably solved up to PLL, then did a few RE4 speedruns and came back to finish the solve

Resurrecting an old thread (I thought something with as much history as the Sunday Contest deserved a vintage thread) to ask a question: Is the Sunday Contest no more? Since last week I've gotten a 404 Not Found from the website.

I know nascarjon follows this forum; maybe he'll respond.

Jon's site started massing up php error logs so Clancy Cochran had to suspend hosting. Clancy was trying to get in touch with Jon, but wasn't able to, so until then there won't be a nascarjon.us

Thanks for that input Dan. Anyway I saw the new website for the weekly competition and I think I'm gonna switch to that now. Moreover we will be able to do more than just 3x3 !

I guess I asked for several reasons. First, I use the Sunday Contest as a warmup for the Race to sub-20 here, so I will personally miss it if it's gone. And second, if it actually ever goes away, we need to revive a thread such as this one to give it a proper eulogy. It has meant much to many people over the years, so when it passes, it deserves a proper sending off.

However, I will refrain from that now in the hopes it is still alive, but just temporarily out of commission.

Any news on its status? It's been a great contest and it'll be unfortunate to see it go. If it's definitely gone perhaps someone could recreate the contest elsewhere?
