What is the hardest barrier you've faced?

I think the hardest barrier for me was getting a sub10 single. I was averaging sub15 before I finally got one, yet I knew people averaging 17+ who had managed it.

Probably the time I walked into a wall on the Great Wall. That rock is pretty hard stuff. It hurt.

Sorry. Seriously though, with barriers I don't really know since I rarely time myself solving so I don't know when I passed most of my barriers. I know I got stuck for a while around 22 seconds though. Then I went on vacation without a cube and came back averaging 18 seconds.

Sub 10 single for sure. I'm still working on it. I tend to never get skips/lucky cases in practice, which makes my single PB far less impressive than my average PBs. I've never really faced a barrier when it comes to averages.

The hardest barrier I've faced was a sub-20 single which was INCREDIBLY lucky because right as I finished my F2L the entire last layer was solved. I still can't believe it happened like that!

Well, I got sub-15 at 3x3 less than a year after starting to cube, but didn't get sub-12 until over 3 years after starting to cube, so you could say I was stuck at that barrier for a pretty long time. I think that was more due to lack of practicing 3x3 than an actual inability to improve though. :p

I must admit now that I think about it, sub 12 is giving me some trouble. I've been this speed for almost more than a month. Since I've been dropping like a second per month, this feels like a wall ;). However, I'm sure it will come just like sub 13, sub 14, and sub 15.

Heh. I got a 12.78 despite averaging in the high 20s. :P Just got really lucky.
