binomdreher, you use 4Look last layer right? in that case, practice your f2l recognition by doing cases from different angles, and just doing f2ls over and over again. at the same time, go back to LBL for a short while, and practice looking for and 'tagging' the corners during cross and first corner. after practising this a bit, and being able to 'tag' at least two at once, go back to f2l, and do the same, except this time with the next pair. practice making the transitions between cases smooth. you dont have to practice doing quick moves AT ALL. i actually recommend slowing down A LOT for this. even augment your cases to make the next one easier. This is the beginning of an advanced trick called multislotting, which even as a relative beginner you should still start practising.
although you average 50+, you can start practising look ahead as soon as possible.
so...
- practice lbl look ahead, at the same time as practising f2l cases regularly (and from different angles)
- move to f2l look ahead, and practice your intuitive f2l (it best be intuitive dammit!)
- begin learning the PLLs (i suggest T and Y first)
- read this forum a lot...
- when you are averaging around 30-40, practice multislotting. there are various threads around
- learn a little LL control...
you can progress just as fast as cyber, particularly if you have been cubing a bit longer but haven't progressed as quickly so far (your brain will be a little more 'geared up').
i promise you, that with enough practice on f2l, in a fortnight you will have cut your times by 10s.
(p.s get a DIY
