I ordered a transparent Joy from Tribox earlier today, and I'm awaiting the confirmation E-mail.

Does anyone have one?
Can somone compare the feel of the transparent Joy/Edison (I might get one in the future) to other cube types, such as A, B, C, D, F, Rubik's DIY?

I'm quite anxious to get mine, and I want to know what to expect. :D

Also, I know it's not tournament legal, I just wanted a joy/transparent cube.

I do not have a transparent joy or edison, but I was wondering if you or anyone else knew if these cubes are still illegal in tournaments if you have regular stickers on. Because wouldnt you not be able to see through the cube with regular stickers. I would think that only a transparent cube with transparent stickers would not be tournament legal. Sorry to bump this somewhat old topic, but I felt this question didnt need its own thread. But I would like to order a transparent Edison, but I'd like to know if itd be tourney legal with regular stickers.

I have a transparent Edison 3x3x3. It's much nicer than the transparent Chinese DIYs I have tried in the past, and is comparable to the other Edison cubes in movement, corner cutting, etc.

I really don't think transparent cube would help me, it would actually probably confuse me and get me worse times. But I guess you can paint some edges of the pieces black to make it non see-through.

Ya or just spray paint the whole thing. I was thinking of doing that but I was wondering if that could damage the cube at all? Anyone have any thoughts on spraypainting cubies.

Ill answer my own topic, lol.

My transparent joy is one of my favorites.
The only flaw so far is the popping, but that can be avoided with tighter tension i think. Its like a Type D, its crisp and loud, but it doesnt lock up as much, and it feels more solid.

Cuts corners well, and its hard to describe. It came with transparent stickers, and its still difficult to see the colors on the other side.
I think the rule is a bit... paranoid. Its not a significant benefit.

Thats what I was thinking. And with regular stickers there would practically be no benefit at all. Trying to cheat would actually take more time if it was even possible. The rule is paranoid.
