I've recently been thinking about working on a set of algs for inserting the last F2L pair while orienting all LL edges, leaving a corners-only OLL. Kind of like winter variation, but orienting edges instead of corners. I believe there should be less cases than Winter variation, but this is pending further analysis. I'd be interested to hear if anyone would find this interesting, think it might be useful, or if it already exists, but I haven't been able to find it!? For now I'll call it the Pip variation!
As there are only 27 possible OLL states after Pip variation
p) this would mean a 1/27 instead of 1/216 chance of OLL skip. Not as good as Winter variation, but still pretty good!
Using full COLL from here would give a 1/12 chance of PLL skip (instead of 1/72) [1/12 chance of H perm, 1/6 chance of Z perm and the remaining 3/4 chance of a U perm].
The overall chance of a full LL skip with this method would be 1/324, rather than 1/15,552 (i.e. a 48x greater chance of full LL skip).
Any thoughts?
