[Unofficial] Maxim Chechnev on "Ukraine's Got Talent" show. Final.

I counted ~60 moves for the 11x11 (allowing 1-2 turns for every shot without the cube in). That has to be vastly below god's number for a cube that size. I know it's sort of pointless to pick out even more problems with this video, but still.

OMG THIS IS SO hilarious. The bold judge is like Maxim is something we have NEVER seen BEFORE and is treating him hes some kind of a GOD. I love how the show shows in the beginning how hard its to solve a cube. Camera zooms in when he's almost done and Maxim with difficulty is turning the cube. When he blindsolves and everyone is like WOW damn this guy is smart..

Maximum: My life has changed when I started cubing and brought me to a better - yeah sure better path, you are freaking cheating you d***! - hes stupid.

At 4:40 he said that megaminx is 100 times harder than rubiks cube. The 3 megaminxes are scrambled all differently and he will try to solve them with his eyes closed.

Why is he pretending to go through the memo? I can see sexy moves everywhere

him talking to himself, do even blindsolvers speak out load or try to say something idk?

This thread has given me the motivation to rant about geared powerlifting in the powerlifting section of the biggest online lifting forum. They basically have a category for and (some) treat this false perception of the sport as the norm. It kills me.

I don't like this at all

We need to somehow make it known to the public that this isn't real

The comments on the official UGT videos aren't looking good for him...

And I'm surprised that no-one has noticed that it took him ridiculously more moves to solve the 3x3x3 compared to the 7x7x7 and the 11x11x11 (in the public I mean.)

While that would be the right thing to do, I'm afraid the public could care less about the legitimacy of those solves.
To them, it doesn't really matter how the cube is solved. You could technically argue that reversing a scramble is one way of solving a cube although it is highly misleading and deceptive.

What this guy is doing is really disgraceful. I demand an apology from him for everything.

Most of it had to be faked, you know why? People will get bored watching an average 30 minute solve of the 11x11. Takao Hashimoto would be especially outraged by the bld fakesolves.

At least Tyson Mao did a real bld solve (dnf) live on CNN

Amazing. Spent like 45 minutes typing out exactly what I wanted to say and how I wanted to say it. Thread gets deleted in a couple minutes.

I agree with this, I think people are being a little hard on this guy. When a magician performs a magic trick it's not really magic but everyone is still amazed by it. Maxim was simply trying to create an intresting act out of solving a rubik's cube. If you don't like it then pay no mind to it, but if you reveal that he is faking then all you are doing is taking away a sense of awe from a small group of people in the Ukraine. (after all it's not like these are being taken as real official/unofficial records.)
