Square-1 screw won't screw back in

A friend told me he changed the spring in his square-1 and it did good, so I thought I'd try it...

took the screw out, replaced the spring...and tried to screw it back in

but it won't!
I keep twisting the screwdriver, but nothing happens...the screw is just twisting in place

somebody had the same problem? somebody can help me?

haha, I had that problem also, I resorted to supergluing the yellow piece (that was being screwed INTO) onto the plastic.

Sorry, I can't help you. I havea DIY Suare-1 and I have never opened it up. The only parts that "Pop" out are the caps.

I didn't know that there were springs in a square-1.

what do you mean? mine has no yellow piece
there's a kind of plastic/rubber "washer" between the 2 halfs, but I guess it's not it...

the part at the other end of the screw was apart from the rest, so the screw wouldn't "find" the threaded part

I glued it back and looks like it works...

Well try putty plastic (building shops), I repaired manhy puzzles this way, though it will never be that strong as before, e.g for a 5x5 center it holds for a while. I gues for a square-1, there is not most force applied when turning
