I use the second row of algs for all four cases. So, the 2-gen(<R, U>) ones.

Lol, there are around 150. I forget exactly how many, but I know like 15-20, not including the two look algs.

I always thought it was 200+. Now it doesn't seem so daunting to learn them

Heh, It's not so bad. After a while, you run out of cases that are easy to recog though :/

At the very least, I'd say 8. But using that kind of last layer would be painfully slow/inefficient. The F2L and S2L(second two layers) can be done completely intuitively. There are a few tutorials on youtube if you want to learn to solve it.

At the very least, certainly less than 8. The whole thing can be intuitive if you like. What I do: A few algs for standard EO. Intuitive EP. CO with lolsexymoves or the occasional easy 8-move commutator. Intuitive CP. Sure you could say that all of these things are algs, but they don't need to be thought of as algs any more than standard F2L solutions do. I personally have never learned a single new alg specifically for megaminx, and at least I can sub-2 with no practice (i.e. not really knowing my color scheme lol)

I was thinking something like this:
3 algs for EO
J perm, Y perm, T perm+mirror, N perm ish thing for EP
Inuitive CO and CP
But yes, I suppose I mistyped. It could be done in less algs. The only thing I don't understand about yours is how do you do inuitive EP?

What I later realized is Dan Brown-3x3-style lol. I line up two edges with the correct centers and then do some sune-ish type thing to cycle the remaining 3. Or if no two edges are correct, then I do two sune-ish things, because I'm so lazy I haven't even bothered figuring out if any of my 3x3 PLL algs would help with that case :rolleyes:
