Well I learned Petrus and Fridrich

I would say Petrus is much more difficult to learn compared to Fridrich. (This does not mean Petrus is more advanced)

There are only 4 basic algorithms to memorize in Petrus, that means the learner has to do more thinking compared to the Fridrich learner. And thus harder.

In Fridrich, everything is laid out for the learner. Every case has a basic algorithm to treat except for the first layer, which is pretty basic stuff. So Fridrich is easier to learn

However, Fridrich is harder to master. Because it requires much more memorizing than Petrus.

What's the fastest method to be decently good at something?

I might be a bit biased but... for me the ortega method took my time down from 1:20 to easily below a minute, in less than two weeks. But I like it mostly because I'm a nonconformist (I'm typing this on a dvorak keyboard in Linux -- look it up).

You’re upside down head out. Fewer algorithms require less memorization and therefore less thinking. It’s all recognition and application. Rote Fridrich is a pile of gobbledygook. Petrus is intuitive from the start (admittedly algorithmic for the LL but so is everything).

Cubing is a child. The King’s Gambit is busted.
