hmm...just curious to know whether anyone have to do a few warm up solves before they can start timing their average? lets say u havent solved a 3x3 cube for maybe 2~3 days? then when u start ur first few solves of the day, ur time is like 5~10 seconds away from ur average or even more? It is because everytime I want to time my average, I need to have like 4~6 solves first before I am able to reach my usual average time.

Yes, most people do warm up solves before there averages (unless they're lazy).
If you find that it works for you, just do it.

definitely yes. My first 5 or so solves are usually quite embarrassing. That's why I hate it when my friends tell random people that I can do the cube in 16 seconds, and then expect me to live up to that with no warm up and a random store bought cube that they shove in my hands.

lol...takes me like 10 minutes until i'm at my average

R U R' U' a bunch of times followed up by L' U' L U a bunch of times.

Then some R D' R' D followed by L' D L D'

I don't do F and B because I rarely use them (usually just twist the Entire Cube)

Then I do about 3-5 Solves or until I get 20.xx that's when I start timing.

i do all of the 2 look olls, and 16 plls, and do that, then a few solves, then im completely warmed up. also, a hand warmer or something warm helps you alot

I solve until my averages drop to an acceptable level. It's usually pretty noticeable, about 3-5 seconds.

I generally need to do 1-4 averages of 5 before this happens. If I was solving it recreationally earlier, like cubing while walking, it's usually just one or two.

Store bought cubes...I hate it the most when people call me to demonstrate my solve with store bought cubes(somehow my schoolmates have lots of store bought cubes that are absolutely easy to pop..), because I have like a 90% rate of popping for those cube.

For me it's different sometimes it works from the beginning and sometimes I have to doe ~25 solves to reach ~15 secs average

I haven't had any contact with the cube for a couple of days as I was away from home and my first 20 or so "warm up" solves today when I came back dropped to a 28 sec average. It took me a whole morning before I more or less got back to sub 25 :D
