Hi there! I'm Brent, or Applejuice. You can call me whatever you like. I'm really new to speedcubing and am an absolute beginner and hoping to learn some things here. Right now I'm struggling with learning intuitive F2L, but I think I'm going to be okay.
I live in The Netherlands, Driebergen. I'm 13 years old, and use a Dayan Guhong. I've purchased my Vcube 5x5 a few days ago and am expecting it to come in any day now! :)

And I always try my best to make long intro posts, and it isn't exactly easy for me. xD
I hope that I can learn a lot, meet some people and have fun here.~

Oh, I almost forgot:
I really love your cuber verification question.

Hi.
What times do you get? What methods? Do you have any other puzzles?

Is it still the 5.66 WR single question?

Hi there!
I use Fridrich, I know, it's really not original. I have a 3x3, and also two mini 2x2's as keychains just to play with my friends, and I ordered my 5x5 yesterday and am expecting it to be in Friday! I'm also thinking about buying a 4x4, but I'm not sure. What do you think would be a good next puzzle? Maybe somthing a little more crazy like a pyraminx?
I get 30-40 most of the time. My PB is 28.62, but my cross was really lucky. I've never gotten below 30 except for then.

Yeah, still the WR. It's very original, I like it!

Pyraminx is interesting and fun; but very easy and you can get sub-10 easily with LBL (even though I'm around 11 seconds). 4x4 takes longer, but is much more interesting, and there are many methods around. So, I would recommend getting a Pyraminx AND a 4x4 (especially as you're getting a 5x5) because they're interesting and great in their own ways. As for the brand, Snengshou for 4x4 definitely (it's much better with modding). For Pyraminx, if you're serious about getting into it, then get the new Mefferts. But if you'll just solve it every now and again (like me), then the cheaper QJ is the better option. Good luck!

Thanks a lot! I'll consider getting both of them!

Rpotts gave you good references.

As for the "getting better times" thing, it's just practice, learning new tricks, rotationless solving, executing algorithms faster and, once more, practicing. :)

I would suggest trying one-handed, many people seem to like it very much, and my personal suggestion, try blindfolded cubing. At least to me, that's the most fun event, when you put blindfold on and cube is all mixed up, and then minute later you put your blindfold off and see the Rubik's cube solved. :D

Have fun! :)

Welcome! Practice hard, you might sub-10 someday. :D
Thanks! I hope I will someday.

Hello and welcome! 30-40 isn't really an absolute beginner, at least to me. Greater than 10 minutes is. You can join the race to sub-30, which might help you get faster. Have fun cubing!
Oh, thank you! Yeah, I already joined it. :)

Well, I've tried OH and sucked at it,a nd can't be bothered learning it. BLD seems interesting though, just Pochmann seems intimidating.
