Yeah, that solve was DNFed and the competitor used a different cube for his other solves.

Because when you have four bad solves in a round, the only course of action is to make things sillie.

It's a shame it had to come to that, though. The scramblers should have identified it as an illegal cube and told him to replace it with another one before he did any solves. :/
