I sometimes get the impression that Faz isn't completely CN and has some bias. Nearly all his bigcube solves start by pairing white/yellow edges first.

He probably does that for a reason. Maybe he can track/find pairs more easily? who knows He can probably be "CN" easily in bigcube edges, since its pretty easy.

I don't think ZBLL is the right name to refer to what he's doing. Since he's not using ZB as a complete system, I think it's more apt to say he is applying random 1LLL algs he knows. Most of these come from a certain subset, but not all do.
