I think he means with "the most scrambled form" the longest way to solve the cube ;) but i´m not sure ;D

By that definition there are many "most scrambled" positions such as "super flip" that need at least 20 turns to solve (estimated to be around 300 million) - see http://cube20.org. However, this is only a very small subset of scrambled cubes. I suspect this is not what the original question was asking? ;)

....or took a piece out and put it in the wrong way

All my solvers check that the scanned cube is valid before attempting to solve it. This was originally done to ensure that errors would be detected that were caused by, for example, changes in lighting conditions, shadows and reflections during the scan. However a scanned cube that is invalid as the result of a piece put in the wrong way is detected and treated in the same way. The robots just report the error with a message asking the operator to request a re-scan.

You're not the first but we haven't answered before because we haven't really measured it.

We're confident that it is sub7 and hope to record many times and determine an average when we demonstrate at ARM TechCon on the 26th/27th October.

Mike and I recorded all the solves that CubeStormer II did at ARM TechCon. The average of about 200 solves was just under 5.9s :-)

lol good one Stefan maby they are.

We excluded from the average any solution that CubeStormer II found that was shorter than 18 moves (and yes, some of the scrambles were pretty poor!) :)

You might like to check out the video (and analyse the solution) of CubeStormer II's new "personal best" - see this thread :D

But maybe the people at ARM TechCon are just poor scramblers :p

I guess thats down to impatience more than anything, a few people went to great effort to ensure the cube was "visually" totally scrambled, whereby no two cubes where already alligned, notably Thomas Rokicki who immediately presented us with "Super-flip" (Thanks Tom, very much appreciated!)
