If you go to bigcubes.com you will see something that I absolutely loved about their way of teaching:
Progress Gauge.

I love how they put "Beginner: 75+, you have trouble with blah blah blah, you should work on blah blah blah" then "Intermediate:..." and even "Master" has something you should work on.

So, to all you Roux and Petrus masters out there (by the way, I still sue both just about equally, usually whatever I'm in the mood for) I ask if you could so kindly give your input for something like what they have on bigcubes.com
Please keep in mind that there is one for every step, so for the two methods there would be one for each:

Roux:
1x2x3 on Left-
1x2x3 on Right-
Corners-
Edge Orientation-
Solve L R sides-
Edge Permutation-

Petrus:
2x2 Block-
2x3 Block-
Edge Orientation-
Finish f2l-
COLL-
Corner Permutation-
Edge Permutation-

I'm sure you masters of Roux and Petrus have some general grasp and I would really appreciate it (and a lot of other people as well) if you could put some input into times a beginner should shoot for and intermediate and master. Also, if you are REALLY nice, you might want to add some sort of "you should practice this and that" but you don't have to (if you want to do this at all)

Thank you all, I really appreciate it,

-Mathieu

Well, I'm pretty slow so don't think of this as even close to the potential of Roux.
1st block- 6 sec.
2nd block-8/9 sec.
corners- 5-6 sec.
EO- 1.5/2 sec.
L/R- 1 sec.
Permutation- 1/2 sec.

On the Roux site, he lists the general times. A friend of mine was avg'ing 15 sec or so with Roux, and here is his typical breakdown of Roux:
Roux:
1x2x3 on Left- 4 seconds
1x2x3 on Right- 5 seconds
Corners- 3.5 seconds
Edge Orientation/Solve L R sides/Edge Permutation- 3 seconds Total

Roux himself is the fastest Roux solver (I think), and he avg'ed just under 15 seconds in competition. I think an ideal avg for Roux would be something like this:
Roux:
1x2x3 on Left- 3
1x2x3 on Right- 3
Corners- 1.5
Edge Orientation/Solve L R sides/Edge Permutation- 2.5 total

Maybe even quicker, considering people can do the F2L in 6 seconds, and 2 blocks is less than the F2L.

Petrus:
This is what I expect crazy fast people can do:
2x2x2: 1-3 seconds
2x2x3: 1-3 seconds
EO: 0.5-2 seconds
F2L done: 1-4 seconds
ZBLL: 2-3 seconds
Total: 5.5-13 seconds

I suck at Petrus, so it's more like
3-7, 3-8, 6-14, 3-8, OLL 1-3, PLL 1-3.
Generally getting about 28-40 seconds.

COLL-
Corner Permutation-
COLL means solving (orientation and permutation) corners without changing EO, you've apparently misunderstood it. It's a bit confusing, I'd like to know who started calling that step COLL and why.

... times a beginner should shoot for and intermediate and master.
Shoot for times that are faster than your current average.

"you should practice this and that"
It's difficult to give any general tips like that, different cubers suck at different steps.

For me, Petrus is currently probably something like:
S1: 2s
S2+3: 5s
S4: 4s
LL: 4s

after months of roux i think I'm still not that good. so at an intermediate level for roux

Roux:
1x2x3 on Left- 4
1x2x3 on Right- 6
Corners- 3
Edge Orientation- 1-1.5
Solve L R sides- 2
Edge Permutation- 2

So it takes just around 18 +/- recognition.
