Are modded cubes allowed to use in competitions???

I am new at speed cubing and the cube i currently use is very hard and i wanted to buy a new cube is it ok if I buy a modded cube (because i dont know if its legal in competition or not)

yes. they are allowed as long as it cannot do new moves as well as being able to do normal moves.

depends on the mod, but unless this mod does something like change the puzzle then its ok. If it just makes it turn better then its fine

certain mods are allowed, certain ones are not. Examples:

LEGAL: pop-resistant cubes: like the yj 3x3, and dayan cubes with torpedoes

ILLEGAL: pillowed cubes, like the qj pillowed 3x3 or the feliks pillow by mefferts (Because it allows you to see more colors than usual.)

I'd recommend a ghosthand cube, maybe the alpha 1 (someone please correct me)
