Yeah, I was wondering how often that happens...

some people sweat a lot at the hands...when my brother plays with my cubes, they get all greasy, and that's definitely not good for cubing :D

I'm organising a comp next month, so I'd like to know how much I should worry about this (meaning wheter I should get gloves for scramblers/judges)

Never happened to me, but I use stickers and I guess you are asking for cubsmith tiles. I guess it would be better for cubers with tiles that judges wear gloves but they just use the cube for 20 seconds or so. It shouldn't be a problem.

It happens all the time when I play with my cube that has cubesmith tiles. But, I don't use it anymore (It was a store bought....) .

But, as I said judges just make the scramble in around 20 sec (more like 10 sec) so it shouldn't be a problem in competition.

Though, the gloves look really cool and professional !

Even though we only handle each cube for a short time, after scrambling dozens of cubes, our hands do get pretty nasty. Those disposable gloves are a good idea.

Bring a microfiber towel with you. They wipe the cubes clean pretty quickly since the fabric is so "sticky". The loops in the fabric are so fine, you can feel them pull on your finger prints. You can get a set of three for a few bucks in the car care section of any store that carries that kind of thing.

Brian.

Little bit of Windex on a cloth, wipe down the cube with wet cloth, go over with dry part of the cloth. Does a great job and doesn't screw up the stickers. It gets it so clean it has a little bit of stick to it (good amount of stick).

Those are quite useful during the 3x3 feet rounds...

And for feet solving, the judges can wear plastic gloves, rubber gloves, leather gloves, a scuba mask, a paintball mask, a hazmat suit, and an oxygen tank on their backs.

It hasn't happened on a competition, but sometimes my hand just won't match the cube. It's just glitching (but I guess it's my hands that's greasy....)
