I recently dug up an old Square-1 from about three years ago that I got from Thinkgeek.com (although its called the irregular IQ cube on their website). The stickers are falling off, it is really dirty and stiff, etc. So, I decided to get some new stickers from Cubesmith and clean all the pieces. After I took apart and cleaned it, I looked up a tutorial on how to put it back together and it said I had to to screw in a screw on the center cap once the two halves have the pieces on it. Well, when I go to screw it in, the screw is flat so I can't put a screwdriver into it and I can't screw it back in. Does anyone have experience with this cube and know what to do?

goto lowes and get a new screw .that and make sure you didnt lose the piece the threads actually catch on to on the other side.

I was thinking about doing that, but the screw only has the rotating part on the end and it looks different than a normal screw. Here's a picture:

that is a screw alright. you can totally just get one from a hardware store. if they don't have they right type like that just get one of that length and thickness and start grinding away the threads aka rotating part.

Ok, I'll try to do that tomorrow or Thursday and get back to you guys.

Look at the picture: Screw.jpg It doesn't seem like they would have a screw like this at a hardware store.

Its like a half screw. The bottom twists like a screw and the top is flat like a nail.

Ok I went to the hardware store and they didn't really have anything good. At this point I think I might just get a new Square-1
