at first i thought it was that they all had their PB at their most recent comp, because it worked for the first 4-5, and i also new it worked for Harris and Ibrahim.

Both are Sweds and they did their wins before Gunnar became good, after that no Swede but him has won a competition he has been in =)

You can also add Lars Petrus to the list, he won the Swedish championship of 1981 (second was Lennart Aspelin) wich redered him a place in the first WC. That competiton is not listed as offcial, I do not know why. Among the spectators was Rune Wesström, oldest cuber in the world and also my brother and my cousine (who still cubes but does not compeate... chicken, he has been to several cube competitons as a spectator, for example Europe 2006 in Paris, he can do 3x3x3 (about 40 sec), 2x2x2, Magic (1.50 sec!!), Master, Snake, Pyraminx but still he won't compeate, chicken I say!!! =)
