I lubed my cube and it became stiffer?

i lubed my shengen f-ii 3x3 with b'laster silicone lube, and it became stiffer. not much stiffer, but i noticed a difference. any advice?

Probably too much lube. it can do that if you put to much lube.
my advise would be to clean it out quickly so the lube can't stick on. When you finally clean it, don't put so much lube in!

When you got your cube in the mail, was it already assembled?
Those come pre-lubed, so it's slower because of either too much lube or the two lubes mixing.

Blaster has petroleum distilate(sp?).

my cube came pre-lubed, and it was amazing! i loved it. then it started getting stiffer, so i asked my dad to see if he can find some jig-a-loo, and he came home with this lube. i cleaned the cube and re-lubed it using memyselfandpi's video, and it's still stiff. and yes, it does have petroleum distillate in it = (
