how to modify the lingyun to prevent pop??

Some people have said that if you take out the washers it makes a difference.
I only had pops on mine while it was on the factory tension (which when I took the pieces out and looked at it, noticed some sides had 1mm of give, while others had 5-6mm), when I sorted it out I never had any more pops.

What did you do to prevent the pops?

I am a big Lingyun fan. I use a Cube4You Nylon core and quite high tensions. In addition I do a very moderate MeMyselfAndPi V-Cube 5 corner mod, just 3 passes with a stanley knife over the 3 ridges of each corner, you can search youtube for this (I have no Youtube access at work from where I am posting).

I also use Lubix, but not just on the core, also on the mechanism of the pieces but not the faces. When I do get more pops than usual (usual = 1 pop every 250 solves) usually I reapply Lubix to the cube, just on two edges and work it in as shown by Lubix on their videos. Keeping it lubed this way seems to lower any pops dramitically. When the pops suddenly increase I notice all the lube is gone from the pieces.
