I just wanted to say welcome back!For a new cube, like many I will also recommend a DaYan GuHong. Just don't get the POM plastic; the regular (ABS) is superior.

Uh oh. I did order a GuHong but it may very well have been the POM that you're talking about. Hopefully I can change it before it processes. From seeing the threads you made like the 'Rate the avatar above you' thread,you seem like a cool guy.I wish you were there when I joined.
Another member i really wanted to be active was Lukemayn,he seemed like a nice guy too,he made the famous OAQT thread,How to be sub 20 thread,Penspinning thread,the Ctrl V game thread etc We really needed members like him in the community,I wish he never quitted cubing

Eh. All those fun type threads are cool and all but I prefer someone who comes up with original ideas and discussing methods/techniques/mods etc. MeMyselfandPI (ugh, that damn name) would be a great example with his V Cube 6 mod.

Even if you can't change it, don't worry much. The ABS GuHong is usually more popular, but some prefer the POM. It's still decent.

Well I asked to change it but the foreign help at lighttake gave me this;
"Thanks for your reply .
We begin to collect your order today, if you like to change the order, pls tell me soon or it will delay to ship it .
Personally i think, the POM plastic is good , you will like it when you received .
Last, we may have not the version made with ABS plastic, you can search it by yourself .

So I guess my next question would be if anyone could link/tell which ones on lighttake if any are made with ABS plastic? I told him to "delay my order and I'd get back to him" but god knows if that will work. We all know how the customer service is with foreign companies on the internet..

That gives me some hope. Hey, Waffle, you think this link is made with ABS? At the very least it doesn't say POM. I'd assume that it's made with "normal" plastic then which is ABS?
