Who is tired of cheap filming tactics used for solving cubic puzzles. As we know we film our selves but forget to adjust to colors to get a "cinematic" effect to our films. HD is just a little part of it, to get a true cinematic effect is super easy. There are literally 100 videos out there for any kind of system or program

Of course there will be the occasional cuber who will say "Why?" so i will explain that right here. using a cinematic approach makes the film more visually appealing and more easy to look at. We will see an example here shortly

As an experiment to see if the colors sticked out and looked more cool I used an iPhone4 and filmed me solving a cube in a normal time for me which was 24 seconds.

lets take a look at the video with a cinematic effect.

This is the original video

(it will be place here shortly

So what do you think? Was The cinematic video better than the original, leave your comments below.

By Cinematic, you're meaning doing colour correction?
If I posted some videos I'd touch them up, but I'm lucky in that I have the latest After Effects at work.
Tip: if you want it to be more cinematic don't record it vertically. ;)

Why do you tilt your head when solving? It's pretty annoying tbh =p

And I don't think the video is 'visually appealing' at all, the colours seem to be pretty dark. I think cube videos should have stronger colours.

If you are going down this lane you should atleast have some quality sound, better filming and maybe some dramatic music.

I have a Genetic disorder In my right eye, The disorder is called "Nystagmus" On top of that a have "A stigmatism" in that eye as well. thus you see the tilted head, it cannot be cured with surgery and I've had it since i was born. Tilting my head is not something i do to see better, it is a normal position, especially when solving cubes. Sometimes i can hold my head straight in a familiar place like school or at home or any other place. It is quite common for a person suffering with nystagmus to have their head tilt worsen in an unfamiliar place.

Though when solving my cubes i find it difficult and near impossible to keep it straight.
