Congrats Chris Hardwick!

ha ha, friggin Hardwick did his BLD during my second 4x4 solve, I swear that's why I was so slow!
I can empathize with that - I was doing my 5x5x5 BLD attempt when he got his previous world record at Chattahoochee, and I swear that's why I DNF'ed it! :) (Hard to concentrate through all that applause and congratulations!)

But seriously, I had to congratulate him, that was pretty rad.
It is truly awesome - Chris is amazing!

Meeting Chris was pretty awesome. I thought it was weird because when I first learned to cube his web page was the first one I had ever seen about cubing. Actually meeting him was pretty awesome, lol.

I had the pleasure of judging Chris on his record breaking solve. It was really awesome to see the master of big cubes BLD up close in action. I was amazed at how smooth his execution of the commutators were. It just looks like he is doing normal 3 cycle algs! Congrats Chris!

Why are you? I was doing my 2nd 4x4 when he broke the record! That's why mine was so slow! I messed up on the parity alg. And I had a double parity. That took me like 2 min to fix. The edge pairing was probably actually my record.
It was nice to be there! 2nd BLD WR I've seen being broken!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the kind words, though I would like to stress that my method is very much so still the Beyer-Hardwick method, and thus I don't think I would be achieving times this fast without Daniel's help.

Daniel's still my vote for BLD :-)

Chris

I saw that solve, and you didn't know it because you had a blindfold on, but I took pictures of you!

pretty sweet man, pretty sweet. :)
