First off, i apologise if this is in the wrong forum section. Wasn't too sure what section this should go under

I'm rather new to cubing but as my family can see its something i'm interested in i ended up with a number of different cubes this christmas. One of these cubes is a novelty 3x3x3 Wall-e cube which requires me to not only solve the sides but also have each of the pieces correctly orientated to make the images match up.

I can solve a 3x3x3 cube through the 7 algorithms mentioned in the free guide you get with an official Rubik's cube, but after trying this several times i often end up with a completed cube where some of the images are rotated 90/180 degrees from the direction they should be.

Is anyone able to point me in the direction of a good tutorial/method/video or simply explain how i may get the pieces rotated correctly.

Thanks

M' U M U' M' U' M U M' (U here until the picture is rotated 180 degrees) M U2 M U2. That's the intuitive way to fix the centers in E.

Edit: If something needs to be turned 180 degrees, just do 2 T-perms (R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F')

Thanks. Knowing its called a supercube allowed me to find something through google

Edit:
google is useful for searching, but this forum has a search function as well

True. In the end google directed me back to a speedsolving.com page so it worked in the same manner. Not a massive forum user and forgot some may have decent searches unlike the other forums i use.

Or, even simpler, (R U R' U) *5

That's 8 more moves, and that's ok if you have an ultimate elite guhong, but cubes with images on them are often really bad cubes. A lot of times they are cheap cubes with some company logo's.

Edit: btw, on my last birthday I got 2 cubes from totally different people who didn't know each other. One with 6 famous paintings, and 1 with 6 kama sutra positions :p.
