Overall: The Type-C III is more of a hybrid between the Alpha V and the F-II judging from the corner and edges pieces. It however preforms like a typical Type-C cube.

I hate my CIII, its so bad compared to my Guhong and even my degraded Haiyan.
What lube do you use for it? Out of the box its just terrible

No wonder you don't like it.
Out of the box the cube came completely unlubed and the tension was by default set way too hard. I lubed it with Maru Lube but any lube will suffice.
I gave the cube the "Lubix Guhong"-treatment and I loosened the tension quite a lot and since then the cube runs very smooth.

I tried Lubix lube with it and it didn't help one bit. Seriously lol.
If someone wants to bring maru to Princeton and lube my cube for me (lol) i'll pay for it. I'm not going to pay money for a whole tube of maru lube when my main is Guhong and I got enough lubix to last me a while

Type c's have a tendency of sucking right out of the box.

I don't know what you've been smoking but my Mini type-C came assembled, lubed and with good tension right out of the box.
