[WR] Feliks Zemdegs 2x2 Average 2.35

Nice job Feliks!!
LOL at the guy watching behind the cube at :28. I guess two sub 2s in a row will do that to you.
Rowe's Scrambles:
1.U' R2 F2 U' F' R2 F' U
2.U' F' U R U2
3.F2 U2 F' R2 U F R'
4.U F2 U' F2 R U' R' F R'
5.R2 F2 U F'

Feliks' Scrambles:
?

...you don't have to compare how much easier mine were, thanks. Anyway, congrats Feliks! You are the best, no question about it. I fell asleep right after watching the 5x5 final ugh too bad i missed this.

Lol atleast he didn't beat my 1.12 non lucky pb (but it was really easy, one move layer+sune CLL[recognised the CLL in inspection, and since my layer solve was R', I knew I had to undo it with R sor the sune, so I just cancelled those couple moves])
And wow, with a counting 3.13, he still set WR lol.
I knew he made the WR, but was waiting for a vid, so thanks.

If that's "nonlucky", you don't want to know what my "nonlucky" average pb is.

I don't consider an easy first layer lucky lol...unless its already solved.
Anf what's your "nonlucky" average pb? Just curious.

A one move layer that cancels into a nice CLL is definitely lucky. However, I don't really know how to distinguish between my "lucky" and "nonlucky" solves. I get 0-2 move sides extremely frequently which is very "nice" because I know almost all of EG.

Congrats Feliks! You're surely a cubing hall of famer already, can't wait to continue to see your awesome performances in competition! You're very inspirational to other cubers!

Congratulations, Feliks! Watching these videos is amazing! I just love how happy your face is after each solve. :)

You remind me of Mátyás when he started to get one of the best all arounders. You are just good in every event whatever you practice. Also: Nice single on the clock, next time it is going to be a sub10...average...

Feliks' reaction during these solves also reminds me of Macky's reactions at the 2005 Horace Mann competition. In the final round of 3x3x3 one-handed he set the then WR single and average, edging out Ryan Patricio from 1st place. At the time Ryan Patricio was the up and coming star of OH, and you could tell that Macky was visibly surprised, and almost a little apologetic to Ryan, at hitting such an amazing stride in the final. Ryan soon after overtook Macky's times, but Feliks' reactions in this video remind me very much of Macky's back then during his solves in the final round.

I still can't believe the level of competition in the 2x2x2 event, it's crazy to watch!

Yo Feliks, I’m really happy for you…Imma let you finish. But Rowe had one of the best averages of all time! One of the best averages of all time!

Eh. I consider that "easy". Really easy lol.
Yay for Ortega/CLL fusion! :D
