Because 'an' is for when it is preceding a vowel syllable. MF8 would be pronounced "emm eff eight" which starts with a vowel syllable.

Stop extrapolating to absurdity. Sub30 has already been done at home so I don't see a reason why it can't be WR in a year, especially since, you know, people get even faster over a year.

All I was doing was pointing out that qqwref's calculation was flawed. Do you really think it isn't?
If not then how far can we take it? Sub 25 in 2 years? Sub 20 in 3?
