I've had my Guhong 3x3 DIY cube for a couple of weeks now. Completely awesome cube. But considering the tensions, I have a little problem.

I tension by screwing the screw fully in, then gradually loosen the screws, and seeing if it pops. Ones I get a pop I tighten the screw and try again to see if it doesn't pop that time.
However after doing that on all 6 faces, I get the result that one side rotates very smoothly and fast, while another one is a little bit stiffer and slower. I notice that sometimes when I solve it.

Off-topic.: When putting on Cubesmith replacement stickers, I accidently took the red stickers when I was supposed to take orange. So the color scheme is a little wrong. Nothing you really think about when solving it but pretty stupid! :fp
Oh well, the red and orange on Cubesmith's tiles look pretty similar, and the light in the room wasn't very bright. Well what can you do?

Have you lubed it? If the lube isn't evenly dispersed throughout the cube it can cause uneven rotational abilities. That would explain your smooth side and your not so smooth side

Ok, I will be able to do that in a couple of days, at the moment my silicone isn't in the house I'm currently in lol.

You can disassemble your GuHong edges and corners to swap the orange and red faces.

Yes I figured that out today at school when I disassembled one of the corners to show a friend. So now I got the right color scheme yay!

But now onto the spring thing, after lubricating, ever side feels exactly the same. And also, the popping has greatly reduced, it cuts corners even better, and it is amazingly smooth! Thanks a lot for your help!
