Good evening! As should be obvious, I am JonnyWhoopes. I've been lurking for about 9 months now, and I'm active on the TP forums, and the now revived MTC forums. I average around 21 seconds, with sub-20s common. I'm a PROUD user of the rewks method.
I started cubing May 20th, 2008. My mother gave me a cube for my birthday, along with the book "Speedsolving the Cube". I had solved it before the day was over, and I was hooked. I got to around a 65 second average, before I gave Petrus a whirl. Got to around 45 seconds, and then decided block-building wasn't for me. Learned intuitive F2L, 2LOLL, and PLL. Got to a 27 second average before I went on an extended break of about 7 months. I came back, and within about 3 weeks I could get sub-20 second solves, but never sub-20 averages. Eventually (about two months), CFOP got boring. It felt very monotonous. So I switched to Roux, and was sub-50 within 2 days. I quickly progressed to around a 25 second average. Then I started practicing about 4-5 hours a day, and I ended up burning out, so I took about a 2.5 week break. I came back from this break today, and I've broken my PB averages every time I do an average so far. That's my cubing history up to today.
