Title explains the basic problem here are the juicy details :)

I know zz and fridrich and have tried both (i like zz more tho). I love to cube, but im slow at it. The least ive ever i got was 2.34 minutes. I've tried everthing ive seen online from lubing my cube to finger tricks, but none of it is giving me results. Anybody think they can help? :(

If you're averaging over 2 minutes with an advanced method I would suggest you take a step backwards and use a beginner method for a while. You just need to get more familiar with the basics.

ive been cubing for like a year but very little considering i have school. I do not want to go with a beginner's method cuz that will only slow down my time. and about zz, I know how make all the edges good, do the eoline and build blocks and the oll and pll. I know f2l sorta good and oll and pll pretty nicly. I believe that my problem is that i pause and look around the cube to figure at what i need to next to often, but if i dont do that i want know what do next.

oh and i would like to get familiar with more methods but i dont which one's are good and all.

Cubing for a year, should easily put you under 1 minute.

If you think you know F2L good, what's your average time for F2L?

If you pause and look around, and still get 2:34 minutes, then you are pausing for waaaay too long. Like, 20 second pauses, per recognition.

Full fridrich and tried fingertricks and sup-2min! You are probably the first person to report that. If you could upload a video on youtube, I am curious about your case.

Actually, it is hard to believe you. What you are reporting is weird.

If you are averaging 2:30 minutes, you shouldn't start learning a bunch of methods. Stick with one, until you get your times under 1 minute. Then, you can start looking at other methods.

But, so far you say you've started learning 2 methods, and cubing for 1 year. Picking up another one doesn't sound like a good idea.

I said i dont get much time cuz of school, and yes i do pause for quite a bit i cant help it! and about f2l, i know it but not very well, that take most of my time to do.

Well, you just answered your own question. You now know what to practice. F2L.

Not to be mean or anything....I don't understand why you created this thread. You're not taking any of the advice seriously. People are telling you to do stuff to get faster and you're like: "i know". You should consider what people are suggesting.

electricdoodie, ive been practicing f2l for like 2 weeks, but i just dont know how to do it without pausing!

if you want to learn new method, go with beginner method. the benefit of the beginner method is that you are only looking for 1 piece at a time and the piece can be done in any order. like, oh, i spot a corner, lets insert... **corners finished** oh this is an edge because it does not have yellow, lets put it where it goes. it makes transition to f2l a lot easier because the insertion of corners and edges is always done the same, so as you are solving the corners or edges, it is very easy to look for the next piece, which is essential to having fluid F2L with full fridrich. also, with OLL and PLL, is this full OLL and PLL? if your concern is to get faster, try using 4look at this level. then you will not have to worry about which case it is so much and you will become comfortable with working these easy alg into muscle memory. if you like zz method, it would benefit you strongly to become much stronger in the basic function of the cube.
