[NAR] Alejandro Orozco 41.96 3x3 blindfolded single

Very impressive, congrats.

Great achievement! However, the rule

A6e) The competitor must not touch or move the puzzle until the judge has inspected the puzzle. Penalty: disqualification of the solve.

seems to be defunct.
In addition to what Mike and qq said, the whole point of this rule is so the competitor can't correct anything after he stopped the timer (in case it was a +2 or something of such). If he touches the puzzle but it is obvious that he didn't move anything, there is clearly nothing wrong with it. The rule exists to prevent this issue though. I think the solve is clearly valid.

I, too, consider it as a valid solve and an awesome acheivement. But, A6e can still be interpreted as to DNF the solve. Let's close this discussion here and move it to a general one of how to interpret or rewrite A6e at the WCA forum.

He also got a 5:56 4x4x4 blindfolded and a 10/12 multi blind (I think he did it in 57 minutes or something). He is VERY accurate too, as he didn't miss any of his 3x3x3 and 4x4x4 blind solves. CONGRATULATIONS ALEX!!!!!!!!!!

So basically a Haiyan who can actually do big cubes and multi and is ridiculously accurate.

I'm glad I live in the midwest.
