A good example of what Edward is saying is the F RUR'U' F' I use my thumb at the end. But for the R' F R F' I use my left index. Y perm I use my left index, T perm I use my thumb (but notice how the triggers are in the middle of those algs)

i use my left index finger. it takes a while for me to re adjust which wastes alot of time.

Im trying to use thumbs.. but my other fingers tend to be.. stronger?

Why on earth does nobody use right index finger push on RFU for F'?

I use it in this and this, and with the f2l alg F' R U R' U' R' F R I have a 0.40 PB because the fingertrick flows so well.

In the T-Perm and J-Perm and anything with an R' F I used my right index as I do the R' so I can hit the F and vice versa with an L and an F'.

Otherwise it is my Left Index.

I'd never thought of doing that, but I still prefer thumb now that I've tried it. I guess it's preference.

Left index, the same way you would do a U'. I usually do a part-rotation (just tilting the cube up but not really rotating it) to bring the front face partway from being in the front to the top.
