How do you personally do F' turns?

I'm just starting out and am still super slow (I think my main problem is actually being able to find the cubies I need quickly... but anyway). I've noticed that F face turns seem really awkward to me. Especially F'. What's your preferred method of doing them? Thumb? Left index finger?
For example, at the end of the double sune in the 2 look OLL. The algorithm is F [R U R' U']x3 F', for those of you who use 1 look and have forgotten haha.

Sorry this question is so trivial, it's just been bugging me.

(Also, first post; hello! My name is Connie. I'm 18. I live in NC but will be in Pasadena next year whoohoo. 2500 miles away, here I come.)

A good example of what Edward is saying is the F RUR'U' F' I use my thumb at the end. But for the R' F R F' I use my left index. Y perm I use my left index, T perm I use my thumb (but notice how the triggers are in the middle of those algs)

Welcome to forums! You'll enjoy it here with its vast community and help. Now, on to the question, I usually just use x U'(horribly fast!), thumb, or index. Sometimes I do y L' or y' R' which can be also fast at times.

Using the thumb is so awkward for me hahah, it's probably just a practice thing at this point.

I'll try that algorithm out, Rpotts! I think at this point the cube rotation is actually going to save me time just because my right thumb is not very agile.

Thanks for all the quick replies! I didn't know this forum was so active.

For my double sune I use R U2 R' U' R U R' U' R U' R'

But yeah, it depends on the situation, sometimes left index and sometimes thumb. I used to do U' with thumb...because my left hand wasn't very strong. But I'm past that, U's with thumb just sounds scary now...

you don't need a cube rotation lol, I was just letting you know you hold it from a different angle then you do if you use F (sexy move) x3 F'

Just set it up so the corner stickers are on the left and right side

And btw the alg I posted is just (first 4 moves of sune) (R U' R' Uaka inverse sexy move) then last 3 moves of sune. Its sune performed twice with the Rs in the middle cancelling and the U2 + U becoming U'.

I...actually don't know. A few random algorithms seem to confirm that I use my right thumb, but I usually do whatever comes naturally for each algorithm and let my hands get used to doing that.

There is no "wrong" way to do a fingertrick... it's however you can execute it the quickest. I use right thumb, left index, and in some cases also right ring.

There's also no wrong way to eat a reese's:D

On topic: I use my right thumb a majority of the time but will sometimes use my left index, for instance, at the end of my Y perm
