Gdansk Open 2008 Results

Tomasz Zolnowski won the Gdansk Open 2008 with an average of 13.56 seconds. Grzegorz Luczyna finished second (14.95) and Adam Polkowski finished third (15.09).
World records: Tomasz Kiedrowicz Pyraminx 2.83 (single).

Everyone should take a good look at the results. There are some amazing, but not well known, cubers in Poland. I look forward to meeting them again this year.

Does anyone know why Zbigniew didn't compete in FMC? He is one of the worlds best. Well, I guess another Polish cuber is now among the worlds best to.

Yeah, the Polish cubers are somewhat overlooked. 11 people have NRs, all of which are either in, or very close to the top 10.

He was the main judge of the FMC (exactly like on Wroclaw Open 2007) so he couldn't compete.

Thanks for clearing that up. If I were him I would have asked someone else to judge FMC so he could try to break the WR.

I only opend this thread to write that the Polish guys are awesome, but AVG beat me to the punch.

Tomasz Zolnowski is ranked #2 and #3 for Sum of 3x3/4x4/5x5 ranks single/average respectivly. Piotr Kózka is #8 and #7.

7 persons in top 100 3x3 avg.

Rafal Guzewicz is one of the best blindsolvers in the world.
Lukasz Cialon is crazy on the 2x2
Grzegorz Luczyna on pyra.
Grzegorz Prusak on sq-1.

It would be nice with some kind of cool nation statistics in the WCA DB.
