I think it'd be a good idea to add another sub-forum for 'forum games' and the like (e.g. "Let's Play..." thread) and keep the current one for actual discussions.

Maybe even not increase post counts in such a sub-forum. :p

There have been many threads that would be appropriate for the proposed one; the one mentioned thread happens to be the only one that doesn't die. I figure that forum games don't survive because they're continuously buried under other threads.

The question is, would there be enough activity to fulfill sub a sub-forum?

Do you think we should ever lock the "Let's Play" thread? The original intention in my mind was to find out more about the people on the forum. Is that still what is happening?

Do we really want "forum games" being posted, just to post them? If we create a subforum just for that, people will go to that forum simply to play games...what is the point?

In my opinion the thread should be split into "Misc. Cubing" (or something like that) and then the actual "off-topic" stuff. That would be more helpful from my point of view.

One thing I've noticed a lot of, is that out of the 20 threads displayed on the front page of the "Off-Topic Discussion" forum, 9 of them are still related to cubing. I think under "Speedcubing" there should be a sub-forum for all those Misc. topics.

Why don't you just make a forum called "General Cubing Discussion". Those off topic threads aren't related to Speedcubing, but are related to cubing.

I agree. Creating a forum like that will increase the amount of crap being posted, which we don't really want.

Again, theres no real problem to whats going on now. It's not like the random cube topics in the off-topic section are creating a problem. To me, it's more funny that even the non-cube related section is cube related. We're awesome.

The reason I'm thinking of this is because, if we did, we could probably also have an option to not show forum games on the home page. Forum Games crowding the home page annoy me.
