I'm fine with my M's, those are easy. But for Ms, the fastest way I can seem to do it is an R r', but even that is slow. Is there some magic way to do them?

Watching Erik Akkersdijk, I see he often pulls the M from BU to UF with his index finger over the top. I love how it looks, and he's obviously blazingly fast with it...but...it seems like the cube needs to be really well aligned in order for this work. Now that I think about it, this might be one of those times where it only works correctly at high speed (I imagine the cube expands and goes into some weird relativistic state where the cubes can pass through each other because of volume compression--but that's probably just because I ate too much)...and if that's true, how does one leap across this chasm?

M' is easy, just kick the bottom of the middle layer with your right middle finger.

M, I usually use my right index finger to push it down, and since many of the algs in my head have U' following M, I use the left index to do that

BigGreen uses his index on BU (at least some of the time). I go between this and r'R.

For an algorithm like M' U M U2 M' U M (an adjacent edge orienter), I use my left ring finger for both M's and Ms. I push the BD sticker towards me for M' and push upwards somewhere between the D centre sticker and the DB to do M. For any other algorithm, I'd just use one of my index fingers to grab the BU sticker towards me.
