Hi! I'm an Italian Speedcuber, I'm 16 and I come from Perugia (Gualdo tadino); I'm sorry for my english, I'm going to practice by staying in this forum; I want also to learn a lots about speedcubing, this is my main purpose obviously :P
I like cubing very much but until few days ago I believed to be alone in Italy; instead I have discovered that there are plenty of speedcubers in my country, some of them are very good (massimiliano iovane, average of 5 11.09 during a competition O_O), and there are also some competitions; I'm going to win (it's a joke, but I Hope and I'm practicing :D) one of them in the future :P I also discovered youtube which is a very big source of informations :D and also yuoku where I have discovered the most beautiful 7x7x7 I have ever seen (it's a green one)
My favourite puzzle is 5x5x5; i prefer solving "cubic cubes", but I like also megaminx (which is different in shape)
My times (cubes and methods):
2x2x2: I don't like it very much, I use fridrich and few Ortega algorithms; I have a White lan lan cube, it's amazing. My record in average of 5 is about 3.1X s (very lucky; I have to say that I prefer solving puzzles every moment, but without timing; only sometimes I take the time);
3x3x3: I started cubing thanks to my friends who introduced me to the 3x3x3; I like it very much, it is the puzzle with which I'm better; my best average is of 12.97 s, but usually I'm on 15-16 sometimes 17 seconds; my main cube is a type fII ( I've received it only yesterday; It's amazing!); I'm going to buy a type aV, which seems to be very very good :D (go Feliks O_O :D). In general I prefer black cubes; I've tried a lot of them and this is my mind. I use fridrich obviously :)
4x4x4; I hate The oll parity, so I don't practice it very much; my average record is about 59 s but normally I'm on 1.04-1.05 or more. I have a lan lan 4x4; it is very good; but my mini qj is better. I have to say that I'm not very fond (I hope it's the right word) about my 4x4x4s, I 'm looking for one of them I Could like completely. I use 2 pairing, but also 9 pairing and another method (invented by an italian) I've seen on youtube; I've discovered it yesterday, but it's fantastic! I've to do practice;
5x5x5; my favourite puzzle; I've a white v-cube. I've done the mistake to lube it, so now it's very bad; I'm waiting for another white one I've ordered some days ago. My single is about 1.29, but the average is higher (about 1.5)
6x6x6: I don't have it, But I'm waiting for a white 6x6x6 youngjun bought on ebay (there is an italian seller who has a lot of puzzles O_O);
7x7x7: I have a lan lan 7x7x7, I've started practicing only yesterday; and I'm looking for another 7x7x7, maybe the green one :P, fitter (to my characteristics) than lan lan one;
megaminx; I have a white mf8 2009 model, my single pb is about 2 minutes, I don't practice it very much, but I love it. I'm looking for a black mf8 megaminx which is very similar to a meffert's one. I love the aesthetics of it.

Good Cube to everyone :)

bye bye :D

That's a lot of writing O.O
Welcome, I'm Andrew, but you can call me "bob"

It isn't obvious that you use fridrich, a lot of people on here use other methods mostly roux.

What do you mean you made the mistake of lubing your v-cube? you should lube it to make it faster and smoother I would suggest shock oil for big cubes though.
What did you lube it with?

Sorry; I don't know anything about other method, I believed that there were only few methods, layer by layer, fridrich and petrus (which is slower than fridrich i think)...I'm sorry

I used sylicon spray and now is too soft (I don't know how to say) and loses pieces every moment; maybe I lube it in a wrong way, I don't know.
